It’s time that we rediscover unity through shared core values instead of turning our backs based on political lines. Our community and our state need change. And we have the power make it happen - together.
I spent my childhood in small town, everybody-knows-your-name South Carolina, the daughter of an educator and a small business owner. I was raised with an understanding that people, community, service, kindness, and thoughtful leadership are the keys to a better quality of life for everyone. I moved to Tennessee 15 years ago and have dedicated my career to the nonprofit sector, serving vulnerable and marginalized populations and advocating for change.
The terrible reality that I’ve come to know along the way is that too many voices go unheard, and too many needs go unacknowledged and unmet. It is a desire to change this reality that is driving my decision to go into public service. I believe that if we focus on the core issues that unite us, together, we can change this reality into a better one, where everyone has a voice and everyone’s basic human needs are met, resulting in a better quality of life for everyone.
In a country where the chasm between our needs and our leadership is widening at a terrifying rate, I want to bring every voice to the table to ensure that each person in our community has what they need to thrive.
As your representative, I would care about more than just "the issues". I would be committed to solutions-based politics rooted in my core values.
Humility + Innovation
I am committed to listening to those around me and working hard for the right solutions. No party or person has a monopoly on good ideas and partisan politics just isn't working. I know we can rediscover a unity through a renewed focus on our shared core values that will move Tennessee forward - together.
Openness + Relationships
Being an elected official means you represent the people, not just your party. And to do that effectively it takes relationships, accessibility, transparency, and a listening ear. To me, every voice matters equally, not just the ones that agree with me. And I promise to be engaged, open, and committed to respectful discourse.
Inclusion + Equality
I've dedicated my career to recognizing the worth of each person and the value of each voice. Regardless of where you come from, who you love, what faith you follow, I believe you bring something vibrant and unique to our community. I want to bring every voice to the table to ensure that each person in our community has what they need to thrive.
Advocacy + Service
I'm not running against an opponent or a party, I'm running for our community, for the values I hold close, for the voices that have too long felt unheard. We need - and deserve - representatives that roll up their sleeves to do the hard work to pass legislation that actually improves our quality of life instead of focusing on easy wins and photo opportunities.
I want to hear from you! If you want to volunteer, learn more, or if you just want to shoot me your thoughts, I welcome your messages. I'll get back to you as soon as I can!
